An Unconventional Easter Brunch at the Golden Dragon in Chinatown

The Golden Dragon is one of the best dim sum restaurants in Chinatown! Today, to celebrate Easter Sunday, we decided to gather friends for a lovely dim sum brunch! We all recently came back from Spring Break travels and we all had so much to share of our adventures as well as eat really good food!

We came early and even though it was Easter Sunday, there were plenty of tables available when we arrived! I miss traditional Easter brunches at home, but being surrounded by good food and good friends is what is most important!

Happy Easter Sunday!

More Dim Sum at London Chinatown!

Yes, I really like Chinese food. This week, a group of us decided to continue our quest for the best dim sum on London and today, we met at the London Chinatown in, you guessed it, Chinatown.

London Chinatown 1

This place is right next door to the Golden Dragon and just as good! It’s so hard to distinguish the food apart!

Our entire feast! Complete with xiao long bao (soup dumplings) and shumai

For £10 per person, this was a fabulous meal! I still have not figured out which dim sum restaurant in Chinatown is my favorite, but hopefully I’ll figure it out before my parents come at the end of April!

Sunday Dim Sum at Dumpling Legend in Chinatown

So last Sunday, a few of us met at the Golden Dragon for some dim sum. We loved the experience so much, we decided to meet again this week for some more great Chinese food. This time, we went to the Dumplings’ Legend in Chinatown for some really good fresh dumplings!

Watch the chefs make the dumplings right in front of you! Every dish is made to order, so it might take a little while to get the food to your table!

We also got two other varieties of dumplings, but I took no close-up photos of them so you’ll just have to take my word for it! As usual, this was some of the best food I had all week for the price of £13 per person including gratuity.

Dim Sum at the Golden Dragon in Chinatown

My good friend from school is here in London and she knows the best places to grab Chinese food. There are nine of us who were really craving dim sum so finally, we went to the Golden Dragon in Chinatown!

Since I am Chinese-impaired, I let my friends order whatever they wanted. As long as I have good food, I’m down for anything.

Rice porridge with thousand-year-old eggs topped with Chinese doughnuts (fried dough)

C6

Pan fried noodles, and other goodies wrapped in rice noodles. Too bad I don’t know the names of these dishes!

And the dumplings are out!

And more buns and dumplings!

Egg custard tartlet (dan ta)

For ALL OF THIS FOOD, it cost around £13 per person, which is super reasonable for dim sum in London. We ordered so much we had a hard time finishing it! I highly recommend the Golden Dragon for good dim sum if you are in the Chinatown area! Tastes just like home!

Dim Sum at Mango Tree in Harrods

After walking EVERYWHERE around the food halls (which are extensive), Ashley and I got so hungry, we desperately needed to eat something. We decided to eat at the Mango Tree dim sum stall in Harrods.

Ashley told me to wait until the ball of tea “blooms” before drinking! That’s when you know the tea is ready.
